The farmhouse has probably been
in existence since the early 17th century and was partially
rebuilt in 1872. This early Victorian farmhouse with its yellow
pine woodwork and antique furniture is a delightful home offering
a warm welcome and personal service. Established in 1972,
the quality of this establishment has been recognised by having
a a place in the Best Bed and Breakfast Guide, Good Britain
Guide and achieving a high quality grading in both the AA
and VisitScotland schemes. The whole ambience in the house
is relaxed and is designed to make guests feel at home
The hall with its curved stairs and lovely cherry banister is enhanced by a display
of original paintings and Margaret's needlework.

Large garden for the enjoyment of guests

Margaret loves gardening and often the large garden borders are awash with colour.
There is a small rock garden, and a mixture of shrub and herbaceous borders.

The dining room window looks out onto a pretty heather bed with plant varieties flowering all year round
